The Role:

AKYN is looking for a Digital Content Designer that has aesthetic excellence and experience in creating highly curated, beautiful content for premium businesses.

Based at our atelier in East London, you will be working closely with our in-house photographer, Head of Marketing and Creative Director to create various forms of graphic and visual content across all areas of the brand, from stills and videos for web and social media, to physical assets, such as flyers, look books and event invitations.

The successful candidate will not only have a creative eye and a natural flair for creating beautiful, high quality digital content for luxury fashion brands, but also the graphic design skills to bring the content to life for marketing collateral and social media.

Graphic work may include creating look books and decks, as well as event invites or e-commerce flyers – so an understanding of print is also desired.

Ideally, you will also have the ability to create behind the scenes content for our social channels, as well as high level edited videos and gifs for the website and email marketing.

Applications for working both Full Time and Part Time will be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

• Designing aesthetically on-brand materials such as presentation decks, flyers and look books for both digital and print.
• Creating and editing still and video content for use across social media, paid advertising, email marketing and web.
• Visual direction of our digital content, aligned to the AKYN brand guidelines and our luxury aesthetic. 
• Working closely with our Head of Marketing and In-House Photographer to ensure timely delivery of content. 

Candidate:

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Graphic design
• Experienced in both print and digital content creation
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally working in-house for a luxury or sustainable fashion brand.
• Video editing
• Understanding of social media and required formats
• Understanding of web / Shopify design and required formats
• Creative, with innovative and original ideas
• Luxury fashion aesthetic
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Team player

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

The successful candidate will be fully conversant with the following:

• InDesign and Photoshop
• Video editing software
• Gif creation
• Social media formats (e.g. Reels)

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Experience using Shopify and Klaviyo, as well as Planoly or similar social media scheduling tools
• Creative, with innovative and original ideas.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team player.
